In northern Europe, from the 700's to the 1000's, vikings lived. They roamed in long boats and would pillage people. Northern Europe was mostly christian. In the 1300's, most of the Scandinavian countries banned together under the Kalmar Union. Northern Europe changed in the 19th century, when industrialization started, and more social classes were created. After ww2 these countries all made their own democracies.
In Scandinavia there are the Sami, who are the descendants of people who have lived there for thousands of years. Lots of people live by the sea or by lakes so they can survive on fish.
Most people are protestant, but religious freedom is important. They have high reading rates and high happiness rates. The United Kingdom is very into sports, such as soccer and boxing. Eventually a war for Irish independence started, and Britain made the black and tans, a regiment meant to combat the Irish, but they also attacked many Irish civilians. They greatly rely on foreign trade, but also have commercial logging, fishing and mining.
