  • Demography
  • How did this happen!
  • Migration
  • Finally, we have arrived. That trip took foreeeeeeever.
  • Death/birth rate
  • The death rate is just to high!!!
  • Demography is the study of populations and how they grow. They concern birth rates, death rates, and migration. Doubling time is the amount of time it takes for a population to double.  A demographic transition is a way to model population growth.
  • Population distribution
  • Why doesn't anyone else want to live here?
  • There are multiple types of migration. There is Immigration, where someone joins a country, emigration, where someone leaves a country, and refugees, which come to another country in need of aid.
  • Population density
  • The population density here is so low, I could do whatever I wanted!
  • The death rate is the amount of people who die each year out of every 1,000 people, and the birth rate is the amount  of people who are born each year out of  every 1,000 people.
  • Population distribution is the pattern that humans settle. It is very uneven, because   lots of the earth is uninhabitable to humans.
  • Population density is the average amount of people who live in a square kilometer in a certain area. The more people who live in a smaller amount of area, the higher the population density.
