  • 7. Approach to the Inmost Cave
  • The Ordeal
  • The Reward
  • Perseus confronts his fears when he finds Medusa. He finds her and the two other Gorgons on the island of the Gorgons. When Perseus finds Medusa, he knows he is about to face his greatest challenge
  • The Road Back
  • Perseus confronted his greatest challenge when he fought Medusa. The reason he was going on this journey is to cut off Medusa's head and give it Polydectes. Perseus successfully snatched Medusa's head and completes his goal.
  • The Resurection
  • On his way back, Perseus rescues a princess from a terrible sea monster. As a result, the gracious princess Andromeda agreed to be his wife. Andromeda's love was Perseus's reward for completing his quest.
  • Return with the Elixir
  • After Perseus has successfully retrieved Medusa's head, he decides to return back to Argos to deliver the head to Polydectes. He also returns to continue his life with his wife, Andromeda, and his mother, Danae.
  • Perseus's final test was when he had to fight a sea monster. He fought the monster because it was trying to eat a princess named Andromeda.  Perseus ended up defeating the monster with his newfound knowledge. He was rewarded with the princess, Andromeda, agreeing to be his wife.
  • In the end, Perseus sails with his wife and mother to find his father. He went to the city where his father was attending games that were being held. Perseus decided to participate in the games and ended up killing his father on accident, like the oracle predicted.
