I can compare and contrast the daily life of Spartans and Athenians.
Hi, I am a male Athenian. Males in Athens debated over topics, could vote, own land, become merchants, artisans, and traders. Women did not have as much freedom, and stayed at home to teach children.
Meanwhile, female Spartans had more freedom. They were trained to fight in order to defend Sparta in case we men are not here to protect it. Women also can handle daily business for us while we are away. Men like me are trained to fight at the age of seven, and are the ones who engage in combat. Men were also the only ones able to vote.
When it comes to voting Sparta and Athens are the same. But when it comes to men and women's rights, the two city states are VERY different.
