  • My name is Hamish. I am 9years old and I live with my mum, dad and my brother.  I go to school at Charles Campbell College whereI am in year 5.
  • I am unique. I like fortnite battle royale/save the world and Beyblades. I have a diagnosis of Autism and Auditory Processing disorder and have challenges with sensory processing. This means that some things can be harder for me and I can become overwhelmed and have trouble managing my emotions at times. I have been working really hard on this in my OT sessions.
  • my brother Evan age:7
  • I have been learning about the Zones of Regulation and my triggers that might put me in the blue, yellow, or red zone. This helps me know when I might need a bit of extra support.
  • -Being yelled at me -Having nobody to play with -Not knowing what to do or running out of ideas/ choices -Not being able to do something I want to do -Having to wait -No warning when things change or I need to do something -Sleep
  • Touch - like to fiddle/squeeze things Noise - bother by loud noise Oral – bother by textures etc. Movement – need movement breaks
  • I have also been learning about my sensory processing preferences 
  • It is also important that I recognise when my body is telling me that I am starting to get overwhelmed and I am moving into the blue, yellow or red zone.
