About 24 million Europeans have died from the bubonic plauge so far.
Doctors would treat patients by using herbs or by draining their blood, which usually weakened the patient instead.
The real cause of the plague were from fleas found on rats. Rats were common since areas were really dirty.
During the plague, trade slowed down and economy got damaged. But upon rebuilt, feudal lords lost most of the power.
Peasants started rebelling when nobles attempted to return to the feudal system after the plauge.
The English Peasant war was a famous revolt. The rebels successfully showed their demands to King Richard II. Though the revolt lost momentum, serfdom was coming to an end in most of Europe.
