Storyboard Text

  • The blockade is going great. The Western Allies' do not have access to anything. This is going to help us get full control over Berlin.
  • Glad you are happy Stalin. The troops are working very hard to keep them out.
  • Are you ready to drop the supplies over Berlin?
  • Yep all set to go!
  • What is that?
  • The Soviets wanted full control over Berlin but the Allied powers were helping the West by sending in supplies via railroads and roads. Stalin cut off all access to Berlin and his plan was working out great.
  • I am so mad about the Allies flying in supplies. Start firing at the aircrafts!
  • The Allied powers decided to take a risk and fly in the supplies to help the people of Berlin survive. They flew in over 1500 tons of goods.
  • FIRE!!!
  • BOOM
  • This was a surprise to the Soviet Union and they were not going to loose.
  • OK we agree Stalin.
  • Stalin ordered the troops to shoot down the air crafts.
  • YESS SIR!!
  • They fought fired at the air crafts for nearly a year.
  • The blockade was not working and the Allied powers were continuing to fly in supplies. So Stalin stopped the blockade and the airlift ended.
  • The blockade needs to be lifted from Berlin. It is not working out as well as I planned. Ugh!
