  • Stage 1-Punishment-obedience Stage 2-Instrumental purpose Morality is defined egotistically in terms of oneself (Boss 2018 pg. 275)
  • First, we are extremely obedient, do not want to upset authority, in the second stage we look for whats in it for me
  • Look to others for guidance, peer to peer norms (Boss 2018 pg.275)
  • Morality is a construct of experience and reason
  • We have a question!!!
  • Pre-conventional Stage the more experience you gain the better you are at reasoning
  • Conventional Stage Stage 3-Maintain good relationships, earn approval Stage 4-Respect Society's rules
