Principle #1 Genetic Variation the two types of genetic variations are the light colored moths and the dark colored moths.
Principle #2 overproduction and the struggle for existence. Moths will create more offspring than what the environment can handle. Not all moths will survive.
Principle #3 Differential survival and reproduction The light colored moths are easy for the owls to spot in the sky at night. The dark colored moths are able to camouflage well.
Principle #3 Differential survival and reproduction Since the dark colored moths blend in more they are able to reproduce more because they survive longer.
Principle #4 Changes in the gene pool The allele for dark color in moths will be more common because those moths will have a higher fitness.
