Abraham requests land from Ephron
Intercede for me with Ephron, son of Zohar, so that he will sell me the cave of Machpelah that he owns.
Sarah, the wife of Abraham, dies in Kiriath-arba in Canaan at the age of one hundred and twenty seven. Abraham mourns and weeps for her.
Abraham negotiates with Ephron
I give you both the field and the cave in it. Bury your dead!
I will pay you the price of the field. Accept it from me, that I will bury my dead there.
Abraham leaves the side of his deceased wife and asks the Hittites if he may bury Sarah on their land even though he is an alien. The Hittites graciously agree and allow Abraham to bury his wife wherever he wants.

Abraham buries Sarah

Ephron meets with Abraham and offers him both the cave and the field around it. Abraham talks about the price of the field and reiterates his want to bury his dead wife.
Ephron offers his cave and field in Macpelah for 400 sheckels of silver and Abraham accepts the deal.
