Storyboard Text
Lewis and Clark have found the Shoshone Indians and their village.
February, 1805
Look! I see an Indian village!
Captain Clark is making a good impression with Charbonneau and one of his wives, Sacajawea.
What brings you to our village?
I am Sacajawea and this is my husband Charbonneau.
SHOSHONE TRIBE
I am Captain Clark and this is Captain Lewis, and we are exploring the western land.
Sacajawea is about to give birth, and is informing the men.
Oh my!
I'm going into labor!
Sacajawea's birth was extremely painful and long, but resulted in having her first son, Baptiste.
HOLY BUFFALO!
Jessome, the interpreter, used pieces of rattle snake to cure Sacajawea's pain.
This rattle snake will heal your pain.
The explores say goodbye to their new found Indian friends.
You are welcome here anytime, goodbye for now.
Thank you!
