Storyboard Text

  • Hey Sammy, sorry I had to take that call, it was my bank, enquiring me about my details.
  • What?! What are banking and online scams?
  • Sammy! Haven't you heard on the news, there are so many banking and online scams currently!
  • Online scams are pop-up ads, fake retailer websites and online retailers who sell illegitimate goods. A banking scam leads to cloned banking websites, most commonly found in scam emails. These scams are called “phishing,” in which scammers act as a bank, enquiring banking details.
  • How do I stop the scammer? I'm really scared.
  • First, contact the scammer, and determine the legitimacy of the scammer by their response. Ask questions. Next, contact your local protection agency, and report it on the Australian Government Website, I'll send you the link! If you have given them your details, contact your personal bank for refund options and to change personal details.
  • OK, I'll text you if I need any further help. But thank you so much!
