  • Liberty
  • Democracy
  • Rights
  • Liberty is freedom. It influences Americans by letting them make their own choices about beliefs, who they are, and how they live. For example, we have freedom of speech which allows us to voice our opinions. There's also freedom to petition which we could protest the government. Finally, we have freedom of religion which everyone can practice their own beliefs.  In 1776 we had the right to take part in public affairs.
  • Capitalism
  • Democracy is a system of government founded on the simple principle that the power to rule comes from the consent of the government. In 1776 people had to run their local governments. Today it gives us rights to vote. In a democracy we get to chose who rules our government. It protects people and what they like. People like democracy because it gives people a voice to be heard. Finally, people are allowed to make their own decisions' s.
  • Equality
  • Rights are powers or privileges granted to people either by an agreement among themselves or by law. In 1776 rights wrote "unalienable rights" basic and should not be taken away. Today we have the United States constitution and the bill of rights. Rights are important because it allows us to know what we can/cant do. Rights also guarantee peoples basic need. Finally, they help us make decisions about our lives.
  • Core Ideals Project
  • Capitalism is the chance for people to pursue their hopes and dreams economically. It gives people the opportunity to pursue what they want. In 1776 America gains a lot of land. Opportunities people had were starting businesses, and getting an education. Finally, they also had the chance to reunite with families or live in peace.
  • Equality is the ideal state in which all people are treated the same way. America enforced laws to guarantee equal right and privileges. For example, women got the right to vote and voice their opinions. But only white men had those rights before. Still today women are fighting for different ethnicity and equal pay.
