  • Today we will learn about adding and subtracting.

  • We are getting ready to take our quiz.
  • Station Teaching
  • Here we will make fake money.
  • At this station you will use your money to buy merchandise.
  • One teacher leads the lesson, while the other teacher watches and collects data (Kurtz, n.d.). This will allow the teacher observing to see how students take in information and approach tasks. The teacher observing will also be able to take notes regarding a student's IEP or behavior assessment.

  • One teacher teaches while the other teacher provides help to students that need it. The teacher assisting can also help with classroom management (Curry School of Education, 2014).

  • Each teacher teaches at a different station that the students rotate to learn a lesson. Each station will provide different instructional strategies to help the students learn (Curry School of Education, 2014).
  • Team Teaching
  • Welcome to Mrs. Smyth & Mr.Cook's 1st grade class.
  • The teachers have split the class equally and are covering the same thing. This will cut down on the ratio of student to teacher (SERC, 2004).
  • One teacher is teaching a larger group while the other is teaching a smaller group. Each group will go over different content that is specific to the need of the group.
  • In team teaching the teachers teach the same material together. This instruction is done at the same time and directed towards the whole class.
