  • We should stand up for our freedoms, and fight back!
  • We will be completely outnumbered and won't win.
  •  The Metis were upset with the Canadian government and Louis Riel wanted to take up arms. Many Metis didn't want to because they lacked an army, the materials and supplies they would need to be successful.
  • On the 20th of March the Metis we successful in defeating a group North West Mounted Police at a place called Duck Lake, forcing them to retreat.
  • A few days after the victory at Duck Lake, a group of Cree had joined the Metis. They killed nine people and captured a police post. The residents of the area were allowed to leave unharmed.
