Nomads gathered food by using tools to hunt chicken, deer, elk and bunnies. Nomads lived about 2 million years ago. The nomads used tools like bows spears and knifes. Fun fact: Nomads used obsidian and granite arrow heads. They used rocks and bones to carve the arrow head out and used rope or vines to attach it to a stick. Nomads lived in caves and rough tents like shelters.
Nomads started to realize that they can stay in one place and grow crops and fish. They started to do this between 8000 B.C.E to 3000 B.C.E. They realized that they could have a more stable food supply by growing plants and fishing. They didn't have permanent houses yet though. They started to herd animals and use them to get milk and wool.
One improvement was nomads started building permanent houses and stopped being nomadic. They also started to tame animals like dogs. Last they started breeding animals like pigs, chickens, dogs and cows. They also began to trade things man made that weavers or butchers made.
