Storyboard Description

The pilot episode of CSI: Miami, summarized and simplified.

Storyboard Text

  • Chief Rittle was found dead; He was bound with an apple in his mouth
  • His car was missing from the garage, as well as his gun
  • There were bruises on his wrists and one bullet hole in the back of his head
  • Over in Miami, the chief's daughter was found in the Everglades by Horatio Caine; she was holding a bullet casing
  • The shell was analyzed, and found to be from a Taurus 9. This helped CSI determine that the killer was originally from Miami
  • Around where Sasha was rescued, the killer's urine was found - it was tested, and they found that he had diabetes
  • The wife was found dead in the backseat of a car sunk in a canal. She was wrapped in plastic and had honey all over her
  • The smell coming from the AC was the same as someone with diabetic ketoacidosis (the killer)
  • The honey was traced to a club which led CSI to a limo driver named Gordon Daimler
  • Gordon had been living in people's houses while they were vacationing elsewhere, then picking them up in his limo and killing them.
  • Neither of the victims (the Corwins) were still in the house, and their boat was gone, so it was tracked down.
  • Once the boat was found, heat signatures revealed that there were two people onboard.
  • By then, the wife was already dead, but they got the husband to safety.
  • Then, since Gordon was gone, they went to the runway to find the Corwins' private jet
  • The police thought it was Gordon and the husband, but Caine convinced them that Gordon wasn't there.
  • Gordon was found on the plane and arrested before he could escape
