  • 2. And a good afternoon to you as well.
  • 3. I think we need to talk about what your wife was wearing yesterday.
  • 5. Yes and we are not allowed to wear clothing of such sort. Make sure it doesn't happen again or else she could be punished severely.
  • 1. Good afternoon, John.
  • 4. Oh, I completely forgot, she wore a bright red handkerchief.

  • This scene depicts Martin Luther before he was a monk, supposedly getting struck by lightning. This was the main reason why he became a monk, because he would rather become a monk and live than not become a monk and die.
  • This is a depiction of Martin Luther nailing the 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenburg Church. This was a very important scene in the reformation because the Catholic Church was the center of life for most people and now he is complaining about what he thinks the Church is doing wrong.

  • This is a depiction of John Calvin, who was a French law student and a follower of Martin Luther. John Calvin, however, believed in predestination which means that God has decided your fate before you were born. While Martin Luther believed your fate could change depending on the things you did during your lifetime.
  • This scene depicts King Henry VIII fighting with his wife, Catherine of Aragon, and a sad Mary in the corner watching them. While they were still married, King Henry fell in love with a different women, Anne Boleyn. Hence the reason why Catherine of Aragon is upset with him.
  • This is a depiction of King Henry VIII asking the Pope for an annulment (or divorce). King Henry was furious at this response and then decided to separate from the church and become Protestant. This was called the Act of Supremacy.
  • This scene depicts the Peace of Augsburg. This was when the Roman emperor and German princes made an agreement that a ruler could decide whether to be Protestant or Catholic and the people had to follow. What happened at Augsburg pushed the door open for religious freedom.
