  • Act 3 Scene 1
  • Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here / Shalt with him hence.
  • Act 3 Scene 2
  • Ah, welladay! He’s dead, he’s dead, he’s dead! / We are undone, lady, we are undone! / Alack the day! He’s gone, he’s killed, he’s dead!
  • In this act Romeo and Juliet go through many ups and downs in their relationship.
  • Act 3 Scene 3
  • Tybalt and Mercutio get into a fight. Tybalt kills Mercutio in the fight. When Romeo sees his best friend dead on the ground he is quick to jump into action. Romeo kills Tybalt during the fight.
  • Act 3 Scene 4
  • She shall be married to this noble earl.
  • Juliet discovers that her cousin was killed by Romeo. At first she is very confused with her feelings. Though after a while of thought she realizes that she would rather have her cousin dead then her Romeo.
  • Act 3 Scene 5
  • It was the lark, the herald of the morn, / No nightingale. Look, love, what envious streaks / Do lace the severing clouds in yonder east. / Night’s candles are burnt out, and jocund day / Stands tiptoe on the misty mountain tops. / I must be gone and live, or stay and die.
  • The Prince sentences Romeo to banishment. The Nurse arrives at the cell and tells Romeo about Juliet's grief. Romeo is so upset that he tries to take his own life, but the Nurse stops him. The Friar tells Romeo that he should go see Juliet that night then flee to Matua.
  • Oh, she says nothing, sir, but weeps and weeps, / And now falls on her bed, and then starts up, / And “Tybalt” calls, and then on Romeo cries, / And then down falls again.
  • Capulet and Paris are trying to figure out a way to get Juliet over what they think is her grief of losing her cousin. As Paris is walking out the Capulet offers him Juilet's hand in marriage. Paris quickly agrees to this.
  • Romeo and Juliet talk for the last time before he leaves for Mantua. Lady Capulet tells Juliet that she is getting married to Paris. Juliet is very upset with this. Juliet goes off on her father and he he treatens to disown her.
