  • Even thought you are a criminal, you still get to have a fair and equal trial like everyone else.
  • 8th Amendment
  • What do you mean I am being charged 1 million dollars for breaking a window?
  • This amendment makes sure people will have a fast, public, and fair trial.
  • 9th Amendment
  • The 7th Amendment gives all people the right to a jury trial that includes the common law.
  • 10th Amendment
  • Both state and federal governments can now govern with our own and shared powers!
  • Amendment 8 protects against excessive or unnecessary punishments. It also protects against overly expensive bail.
  • Conclusion
  • Yay! Freedom!
  • The 9th Amendment states that the people have more rights than just the first eight amendments.
  • Woo! I get so many rights as an American!
  • The final amendment of the BIll of Rights repeats the Constitution's idea that some powers should be reserved to the states. 
  • These first ten amendments provide the basic rights of the American people.
