Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • There was an old man who lived with only a servant. This man had something different. He had a "vulture eye". Every day the servant would treat him with honesty and respect, but the servant was frightened of his master's eye.
  • Climax
  • The servant was frightened by the old man's eye. Every day he would look at the eye and feel a cold breeze go down his spine. They eye would come to his mind at night and scare him in his sleep. The servant would not be able to deal with the "vulture eye" for long.
  • Falling Action
  • Every night the servant would get out of bed and grab a lantern. He would light it and shut the lid over the glass so no light would show. He would walk down a long hallway to the man's room. He would watch the old man sleep. He looked at the "vulture eye".
  • Resolution
  • One night, the servant walked quietly into the room with the lantern. He opened it dimly, just enough light so he could see the man's face. He saw the "vulture eye", wide open looking up on the ceiling. He ran at the old man hollering. Then he murdered the old man.
  • A day after the murdering of the old man occurred, a neighbor called the police. She told them that she heard a loud scream the night before. The police just wanted to inspect the area. They searched the house cautiously. They decided to stay and ask questions.
  • Inside, the officers were talking with each other. The servant felt a piece of guilt come to him. He started to get sweaty. He became so anxious that he admitted to the murder. He was sent into prison, and he will be in there for a long time.
