Lords were the owners of large plots of land given to them by the king. They lived in large houses on these lands and controlled pretty much everything in the land they owned. These lands were called Manors.

Serfs lived and worked on the fields. They were not slaves, as they were simply part of the land and given food, water, and shelter. They were technically allowed to buy their way out of being a Serf, but with no means to get money, they were practically stuck in their situation.
Right below the kings was Church Officials and Nobles. Church Officials must've had a lot of power, since most kings at the time had to have complete faith in Christianity.
Kings were at the top of society. They made the rules and gave out land to the lords and nobles. However, many were still under the Church.
After the Fall of Rome, a new period started, often referred to as Medieval Times, Middle Ages, or The Dark Ages. During this time, a social system called Feudalism dominated Europe. This is what it would've looked like.
