Storyboard Text

  • Knock Knock
  • Hello officers.
  • Ma'am we have reason to suspect you are involved in the illegal dealing of candy.
  • We have to search your home just to be sure.
  • There must be something in here! We must arrest her just to make sure she is innocent.
  • This room is awesome.
  • In a town where candy was illegal, a woman was peacefully sitting in her home when all of the sudden she hears a knock on her door.
  • Can we please just leave?!
  • We are going to have to take you in for questioning ma'am.
  • The police officers explain to the woman that they have reason to suspect her dealing candy. Knowing she is being falsely accused, she lets them search her home for the illegal candy.
  • Amendment IV The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
  • The police search her home but find nothing illegal.
  • The woman is confused but does not argue with the police officer.
  • The police take the woman from her home and into questioning where they find her innocent.
  • The police officers infringed on the woman's Amendment IV rights because they searched her home and took her.
