Ares was born from his mother Hera and his Father Zeus. During his infancy he was captured by Giants and put into a bronze jar. The Giant's mother found out and notified the God Hermes who then rescued Ares from the Giants.
How Ares was viewed
Throughout Ares' early years he began to notice his ability of great strength as well as unmatched physicality. Ares was well known as a great fighter. He also brought with him violence and bloodshed wherever he went.
The trojan war
It took Ares a while through his life before he really started to get that love for war and violence. Once he got a taste for it, he began to not choose sides when it came to battles and wars. All Ares cared about was people killing each other.
Ares and Aphrodite
Ares was viewed as a strong warrior. He was always seen with a spear and shield. He would travel by mounting onto his chariot and being carried by 4 fire breathing horses.
Ares was not known to choose sides when it came to battle but during this war he choose troy. During this battle he was constantly in conflict with his sister Athena. He was wounded during the war but was ignored by his father. The greeks ultimately won the war.
Ares fell in love with the goddess of love, Aphrodite. She was a married woman and when Ares and Aphrodite were found together, Aphrodite's husband sealed them both in an impenetrable metal jar.
