Midas Bathes In Pactolus
Ha.. I am free from this curse!
King Midas finds out he has made a grave and greedy mistake. He finds out that he can not eat or drink, foreven the food and water he touches turns to gold...
Silenus tells Midas that to take his wish back, he must go and bathe in the spring where the river Pactolus rises.
After bathing in Pactolus Midas is free from his wish, although the power of the wish tainted the ground around him gold, and even to this day, you can see the golden colored ground where he bathed. Ultimately Midas learned to think before he acts, and to be careful for what he wishes for, and becomes a much better king because of it.
