  • During the Seccesion Crisis, during the 1860 election, many of the southern states threaten to attack the northern states
  • On April 12, 1861 the Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter, Charlestown in South Carolina. The union was outnumbered 80 to 500.
  • The union forces had Major Robert Anderson and the Confederacy had Brigaider P.G.T. Beauregard. 
  • On April 13th, the Union surrendered with no causalities on both sides. The Confederacy had won the 1st battle of the Civil War. On April 14, Many people went on their boats to watch the union forces leave the fort.
