As he turns around, he sees a woman. When he fully turned around, he realized it was the princess. He was so happy because loved the princess. The king then told him that love is more than money or class.
There is a few direct characteristics of the princess. Such as semi-barbaric, fervent, and imperious. These are all traits her father has as well. This semi-barbaric king had a daughter as blooming as his most florid fancies, and with a soul as fervent and imperious as his own. (para 9)
[With] all the intensity of the savage blood transmitted to her through long lines of wholly barbaric ancestors, she hated the woman who blushed and trembled behind that silent door. (para 14) This indirectly describes the princess as hot blooded, jealous, and arrogant.
