Scene 2: Holden has a conversation with Sally.
An identity crisis associates with the lost of self identity. Not having a true sense of self identity can cause many irruptions between yourself and the choices you decide to make. Throughout the novel the theme of a lost identity appears a lot as Holden Caulfield battles who he really is.
During this scene Holden struggles with leaving Pency and in this moment this is when he decides to leave for good and go venture out in the wild New York City by himself
