I'm Jefferson Davis
When Lincoln was elected president in 1860, he promised to not mess with states rights and slavery in the South even though he thought that slavery was bad.
General Grant was the general of one of the groups in the Union army, but after doing well against the South and was "promoted" to the commander of the Union army.
Jefferson Davis was the president of the Confederate States of America. Davis only served as president for the Southern part of the U.S during the Civil War: 1861-1865.
