A frank conversation
Hi Canada it's the United States
Ahoy also it's 1965
How will Canada assist us to liberate Vietnam from itself in the near future?
Well, we've provided aid to the French during the first Indochina War, but we would not intervene in the colonial struggle, by citing the UN as a force to resolve conflict. But for America, we'll sell $2.5 billion worth of war materials. We'll only send peacekeeping troops though. About 30,000 of us Canadians will also volunteer in the American military (110 will die) independently. A lot of your draft dodgers will flee to Canada, oopsies We'll also accepted a lot of “boat people” refugees from South Vietnam after you dern Yankees inevitably screw up the war effort with your hippie ways.
Puerto Rico gimme ur lunch money I'm boutta go to war
oh no not again America
Many of you Puerto Ricans will serve in Vietnam by virtue of you being U.S. citizens. The average age of Puerto Rican soldier will be younger than whites and blacks, though. Ope. There will also be discrimination against Puerto Ricans for the duration of the war, and there will be segregated batallions for you as well. Hundreds of you will distinguish yourselves in battle and hundreds more will die for this country. You’re still going to be a territory in 50 years. Sucks to suck.
