  • The US government started to make their propaganda that was shown to the public pro war. As well they took away many civil rights of the people that involved freedom of speech, and freedom of press. Finally, the debt of the country increase exponentially and became around 22 billion dollars. 
  • Effects for Women Suffrages
  • The industries collapsed and only the exports from the US to Europe increased from 1,479$ to 4.062$ billion dollars. While at war the private sector saw a increase in demand of food, clothing and guns so the federal spending in creased from 377 million dollars to 8.450 billion. The increase in labor force in America due to the increase of wages was also an effect. 
  • Effects for US Immigrants
  • The Red Scare caused fear and paranoia. Also it caused hostility towards immigrants and people with radical political views. Finally it caused the justice department overreacted by rounding up innocent people and either deporting them or jailing them.
  • Effects for African-American
  • The desire and fight for woman suffrage arose in world war 1 and continued until when it ended because woman demanded the right to vote. the 19th amendment was made and gave woman the right to vote. The US Selective Service act made men go to war and many job opportunities be left and taken by woman, which gave woman a voice in the nations decisions. 
  • At the end of the war the growth of Southwests Mexicans Population grew because of the demand for labor. Children of immigrants were discriminated in there school which made them establish separate public school and classrooms for the kids. La Gran Liga Mexicanista de beneficiaria y Proteccion was created to improve the conditions of Mexicans in the US. 
  • The silence protest parade was an act in which people stay quiet and demonstrate disapproval, it was used as a form of civil disobedience and non violence resistance.  The Tulsa Riot happened in which lots of people were killed because of protest.
