One day, within the land of Windhelm, a message was sent out from the royal king of Stormwind. The notice which was known to all throughout the kingdom caught the attention of brave warriors who had wished to join the royal guard for it had been addressing a test of courage that few could pass, a monster.
Sir Raelyth of starfell was among these few knights and was lucky enough to have been chosen by the king himself for the task. After the initial meeting between the king and the 3 knights who were selected, the group ventured in the direction of the reports of the attacks. After a long walk into the Blackmarsh, they followed a mysterious trail of scorched trees.
While they were tracking this seemingly unknown monster, Sir Raelyth had noticed something most horrific.A spark came in the back of his mind that convinced him of the beast's identity. He had seen that the marks left on the tree came from different animals, yet as soon as this came to light he heard a shout, "Here it is,THE LAIR, THE LAIR".
With the group charging into a desolate tunnel amidst the ruins of a smoldering village he could only think of how the other knights had been mad.He knew that this monster would likely kill them if his inspections were right and as they saw it, The Chimera, they surely thought of their demise. - continued on next cell
Within 5 minutes of the battle they had already depleted their will to fight and as Raelyth had blocked one of the claws that had nearly scarred him and realized that the glint of his shield from the torch that was lying next to him had forced the creature to jerk away from him and retreat and as it stumbled into the darkness it slowly faded into grey.-NEXT CELL-> the group was finally able to reach the fortitude of the castle of stormwind within the region of the red mountain.Just as they met the gate, however, something shocked them, the King was waiting.
As they manuevered through the variety of puzzling steps to the the keep and the royal sept of Baelor I, the king explained why exactly he sent them on the horrible journey and why he had known that they would return. When they had found the throne room the knights were awarded with the pin of the Kingsguard, but much to Raelyth's surprise he had been given another medallion that had a strange symbol resembling the King's symbol --> (- K- )
