It was a dark ominous night. While the narrator, Edgar A. Poe, pondered over something.
He is pondering over the lose of his beloved wife which he lost long ago.
"I will never forget my wife and how much I loved her!"
Then Edgar heard a rapping and a tapping on his door and went to go check on what it was. All that he got when he opened the door was a whisper of his wives name, "Lenore",
Finally Edgar finds the source of his haunting when do goes to the window and sees the Raven perched upon the bust of Pallas. The Raven only answers him with one word,"Nevermore".
Edgar asks the Raven questions. Such as will you ever leave me alone and will I ever see my beautiful wife again. The Ravens only answer is ,"Nevermore".
Then, finally after the Raven drives Edgar mad and hopeless. He tells the Raven to leave and never come back and the Raven answers, "Nevermore"He asks one more question to the Raven. "Will my soul from that shadow that lies floating on the door be lifted." "Nevermore"
