  • I have absolute power!
  • Die!
  • For the King!
  • Charles I disagrees and argues with Parliament. Parliament signs Petition of Power, trying to control the King's power, but Charles I ignores this petition.
  • The civil war between the King's supporters and Parliament supporters starts. King's supporters are called Cavaliers, the Parliament supporters are called Roundheads.
  • James cannot have a Catholic monarchy!
  • Cromwell leads the Roundheads to victory and with advanced military tactics. Cromwell orders Charles I to be publicly beheaded and takes the throne.
  • English Bill of Rights
  • We agree with the bill.
  • Charles II is reinstated as the Monarchy after army realized they weren't liked. Charles II dies on deathbed, James is the heir. James II has Catholic son which scares Parliament of Catholic monarchy.
  • William and Mary of Orange are invited by English nobles to invade England and take the throne. William and Mary invade peacefully and without bloodshed, James II flees.
  • William and Mary are invited by Parliament to take the throne, they do so and accept the English Bill of Rights. Bill of Rights puts restrictions on the King's power and what he can and cannot do.
