Hello, I'm going to tell you about the formation of a stalagmite. It all starts with a little drop of H2O.
Well, it's really H2O and some minerals that are contained in the water. Anyways, the drop of water hits the cave floor.
When the water evaporates, it leaves behind the teeny tiny bit of rock that it held because only water enters the water cycle.
Okay, lets fast foward a few hundred years.
AAAAAAH! The stalagmite has grown super tall! Who knew that something so small in just a hundred years, become so gigantic!
And now you know about how a stalagmite is formed.
