Oh! I just got an email from the bank. I wonder why they are emailing me...
The bank claims that my account didn't cash in my previous paycheck but it looks fine here. I wonder if this is really the bank...
Here is the email they sent me...
From: Subject: Account Verification Dear Bank Customer, We are hear to inform you about a recent discovery of an un-accounted paycheck. You need you to confirm your check immediately or your account could be lost. Click here to confirm your account Thanks Bank Company This email was sent by your bank
How to tell if an email is a scam or a scheme • Generic greeting • Need to verify account information • Sense of urgency • Spelling errors • Link in email or attachment • Alert that your account is in trouble • Too good to be true
I looked on this government approved website because it seems like this email is a little fishy...
