Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • These load noises are making me wince.
  • Rising Action
  • Breaking News: Harrison has escaped from jail we all need to be very vigilant because he is an athlete, genius, and is very dangerous.
  • Climax
  • All must cower under my rule!
  • George and Hazel are sitting watching ballerinas dance, the time is 2081 in George Bergeron's home. Society is equal and their son Harrison, is in prison for plotting to overthrow the government. On page 4 it says, "They were all equal every which way." In order to do this they must have handicaps that make them equal.
  • Falling Action
  • Please don't kill us we are so synchronized!
  • George has great intelligence so he has a lot of handicaps. Then there was a loud noise in radio headsets George, Hazel, and 2 ballerinas were affected. Next, a ballerina reports Harrison escaped from jail and is very dangerous. It says on page 8 "should be regarded as extremely dangerous."
  • Resolution
  • Harrison bursts into the ballroom. Next, he says on page 9 "I am the emperor" and claims everybody must do what he says. Then a ballerina joins him and she takes off her handicaps with Harrison. Harrison orders the musician to play good music and they dance till they reached the top of the ceiling.
  • "Harrison Bergeron"
  • The handicapped general Diana Moon Glampers walks in with a shotgun shoots twice and neutralized both Harrison and the ballerina dancing with him. She then aimed it at the musicians and told them to put their handicaps on. It says on page 11 "the Bergerons' television tube burned out." The government most likely took the TV out.
  • After the TV burns out and Harrison is back from getting a beer Hazel is crying because of what happened on TV. She is crying until George calms her, then a sound goes off in their handicaps and they forget what happened. It says on page 12 "It's all kind of mixed up in my mind." Hazel cannot piece together what happened just moments ago.
  • I'm so consternated at what just happened.
  • The handicaps made both Hazel and George forget what just happened. Society then returns to normal and no dent is made by Harrison. Things like this happsn again but no one remembers because of the handicaps.
