Storyboard Text

  • By Jake Clemente and Cooper Anderson
  • Hi I'm Nye Bill and I'm here with my good scientist pal, John the Bear.
  • AND TODAY WE ARE TEACHING YOU ABOUT FORCES!!
  • Friction
  • Friction is the resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another.
  • As you can see Air Friction is keeping this plane flying and John from falling , the friction is preventing us from falling.
  • Gravity
  • Gravity is the force that allows me to shoot a three pointer. Gravity is constantly pulling down towards the earth's core.
  • Gravity is the force that pulls an object of mass to a bigger object of mass.
  • Magnetism
  • Melting metals inside the earth create a magnetic field at the two poles. A compass points north until another magnet is near it.
  • Elastic Force
  • Elastic force is helping John slow to a stop after jumping off the bridge, without it he would get hurt. Right before he hits the ground, the elastic force saves him from hitting the water.
  • Elastic Force is the ability of a material to return to its original shape after being stretched or compressed.
  • Conclusion
  • And thats a wrap for today folks.
  • THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!
  • Magnetism is a physical force produced by the motion of electric charge, resulting in attractive and repulsive metals.
