Storyboard Text

  • Here you go, third world country, have the fish i just caught.
  • I'm glad I can eat this fish, but now I need more.
  • Help! I need food!
  • NO! I don't have enough left for you!
  • The fisherman is acting as the country providing foreign aid, while the man in the robe is receiving it.
  • We need more help! Can we borrow your fishing pole?
  • The foreign aid is creating dependency in the third world country. This will create problems in the near future.
  • Why is our leader hoarding so much of the foreign aid?! His people are starving!
  • The third world country is running out of foreign aid and doesn't know what to do without it. It is becoming dependent on the fisherman to give it food.
  • Once the first world country provides the fishing pole...
  • The third world country is suffering, but instead of helping in practical ways, the first world country is just providing more foreign aid.
  • Sorry, can´t. You can have another fish though.
  • The leader is keeping the foreign aid to himself, because the foreign aid is an exchange from leader to leader. Since he is a dictator, he doesn´t need to worry about the happiness of his people.
  • Countries that can survive without foreign aid will thrive, since they can focus on improvements and developing their country. Countries should be given guidance (a fishing pole) and not foreign aid (a fish).
  • Now that we can provide for ourselves, we´re much better off!
