  • Climax
  • The Quinn family is having a normal day, with lots of rain. Mr. Quinn brings up that the wall might not be tall enough for this much rain.
  • Falling Action
  • Mr. Quinn and others go to try to fix the dam, by building it taller. Mr. Quinn thinks he fixed the problem so he goes to tell the family.
  • Resolution
  • Mr. Quinn hears a weird cracking noise, so he tells his family to go to the top of the hill. They start to head that way, but Aunt Abbie and Gertrude turn back. He tries to go back and save them, but then the dam gives way.

  • Gertrude and Aunt Abbie get back to the house, and then they hear the water coming towards them, and they go up stairs. Aunt Abbie and Gertrude get seperated, and Gertrude is stranded on a roof floating in the water.
  • While Gertrude is stuck on the roof a guy, named Maxwell swims through the water and climbs up on top of the roof to save Gertrude. She is saved and is no longer in danger.
