Goddess Ganga offered to help , she would turn into the form of water , and put the fire out
Goddess Ganga's torrent of water came crashing down to earth
But Lord Shiva was watching , and he realised that Goddess Ganga was too powerful , and her torrent of water was so powerful it would destroy the earth
Lord Shiva kneeled under the torent of water , it splashed on his hair , turning the torrent of water into small streams , this extinguished the fire , and the Earth was safe
Goddess Ganga spread her water throughout the Earth , creating rivers and filling them with fish
