What are the short/long term effects of deforestation on the environment?
Look at all the beautiful trees!!
Indeed. Why does it happen?
It's too bad that deforestation; or the removal of trees and forests, happens everyday to kill all this nature :(
Well, us humans cut down trees for lumber to make things like houses. With our growing population, it goes without saying that we are taking more resources from our environment.
So, humans are one of the main causes?
Good question. There are lots of effects, such as habitat loss for animals, causing climate change, and increasing global warming.
That's terrible indeed. What are the effects on humans?
Another good question. Indeed, deforestation affects the environment more than humans. But they also have to pay for some of their actions. Deforestation is known to reduce oxygen levels and increase CO2 levels instead, which gives us less good air to breathe and more bad air.
Since deforestation also causes extreme climate temperatures in some parts in the world, people also suffer from these weather conditions.
Thanks for explaining deforestation to me. I learned a lot about it today
