The sound came from the cave, Haimon is lamenting Antigone's death. When he sees Creon he attempts to attack him but misses and then kills himself.
"Haemon is dead, and the hand that killed him is his own"(Sophocles.Exodus.21-3)
Creon is told about his wife committing suicide. Creon, due to the recent loss of family members becomes very depressed and mournes the loss of loved ones.
The theme of Ode 4 is the love between Haemon and Antigone. It describes the obstacles that they face, especially Creon and his cruel punishment.
