Bert the turtle was going for a walk outside one day.
Oh what a nice day it is today.
Since he is very alert, he realizes there is a dangerous monkey behind him and thinks of ways to stay protected.
He then remembers that ducking and covering himself with his protective shell will be the best option.
Maybe I should duck and cover!
Bert stayed safe while the firecracker blew up both the tree and monkey because of his quick thinking.
Hooray it worked!
The turtle knew to find shelter quickly which resulted in him staying protected.
I stayed safe!
Bert the Turtle is now the star of the official U.S. Civil Defense film. This film teaches children to be able to find protection in a situation when they are in danger.
