  • Nat Tuner claimed that God had spoken to him, to plan the rebellion and how Nat was chosen to do it.
  • Who?
  • Nathanial Turner was a slave and set a slave rebellion. 
  • Nat Turner had lead a group of slaves to a rebellion.He took charge in the group to kill as many white people that they ran upon. Which he ended up achieving his goal by killing about 50-60 white people. That includes woman,children and men in the number of range of people murdered .
  • What?
  • Took place in Southampton County,Virginia of August 1831
  • Where?
  • In the south, there was tension  and fearing against the slaves for them to it again.  That tried to prevent it and not uprising  anything in the future. To solve ways from it happening again and being strict on the slave.

  • Harriet Beecher Stowe was the author of the anti-slavery novel called Uncle Tom's Cabin.Which was a successful for her in the long run. She was born in June 14,1811 in Litchfield ,Connecticut. 
  • Who?
  • The book was published in 1852 that became widely read by the north. As well as sold 300,000 copies of the book. Which made it open up to slavery and how it's handle.That slavery isn't good and the north agreed. Yet, the south wasn't in the good side of this.
