1754-1763 French and Indian war. A war over land.The British won this war and the French had to give up their land.
Proclamation of 1763 a proclaimation that said no settler can go past the Appalation Mountains.
British raised taxes. The king raised taxes on everything because he was in dept due to the war against the French and so he raised taxes to get that money back.
The Sugar Act 1764 Tax on sugar and other products sent to the colonies. the colonist respond with "no taxation w/out representation.'
The Stamp Act 1765 All documents need a stamp saying the tax was paid. Colonist respounded with forming the Sons of Liberty.
Townshend Acts 1767 tax on glass, lead, paper, and tea imported to the colonies. Colonist began to boycott these items.
