Industrial Revolution - Sewing Machine
This storyboard does not have a description.
I am Elias Howe the creator of the sewing machine.
I am also the first person to successfully invented the sewing machine.
I created this machine so that women could create blankets and clothes a lot easier and faster.
Now that the sewing machine was invented, we use it to fix and produce new clothes.
We women, before the sewing machine was created, had to sew everything by hand. But since it was created, we have a much faster and easier work load.
Before someone successfully invented the sewing machine, society was quite hard. Every time there was a tear in your clothes women would have to sew the clothes by hand. This was quite slow and didn't hold very long.
After the sewing machine was invented, women had an easier workload and a much faster work process. It also allowed for things to be created with better results.
Now that our workload has been cut in half, we can go out and do other stuff.
One of the positive impacts the sewing machine had was a lot better-made clothes but a negative impact was that the sewing skills declined.
Since the sewing machine was invented, our clothes are a lot sturdier.
Since the sewing machine was invented, the women in my family have lost their sewing skills.
