- It looks like it's broken. This is because of REFRACTION.Refraction is when light bends and in this case it switched between two mediums.
- First of all it looks like a normal straw in an empty glass but when we fill it...
- Until we fill it and then the arrow looks like its double sided this is because of REFRACTION. how does it happen?, because the light switches between mediums and starts going off course and no longer straight.

- It seems like a coin under a empty glass until...
- We fill it and then the coin has disappeared, or is it?. You see the light reflects off the coin through glass and it still comes out the side but if you put water in it, it bends even more and stops the light coming out the side. The only way you can see it is when you look at it from above.
