Principle #1: Genetic Variation. As you can see in the comic above, the ice wolf has white fur to greater blend in with its environment. While the grey wolf has its fur to greater blend in with its own environment.
Principle #2: Overproduction of Offspring / Struggle of Survival. In the comic above, it appears there are six wolves to one deer. This illustrates an overpopulation of wolves in a certain area that they all have to fight one another for food.
Principle #3: Differential Survival and Reproduction. In the comic above, it shows four wolves hunting together in what is called a pack. Wolves hunt in packs to protect one another and receive better results when hunting. This shows that wolves have a certain technique that allows them to live longer and reproduce.
Principle #4: Change in the Gene Pool In the comic above, there are four wolves hunting, three are grey and one is brown. This displays a change in the gene pool. Not all of the organisms are exactly alike. There are more grey wolves because they survive better in the environment compared to the brown wolves.
