  • Woah... at that rate people who speak it as their second language will outnumber those who speak it as their primary language
  • 750 million people speak English as a foreign language
  • English has an official status in 75 countries with a population of over 2 billion.
  • English demonstrates: Diplomacy International Communications Business Tourism  Education  Science Computer Technology Media  Internet
  • 70% of information is stored in English through electronics
  • The British began to sail around the world and brought with them the English language to North America, Canada, the Caribbean, South America...Etc.
  • Due to the Treaty of Versailles being conducted in French, I have made it my duty as President Woodrow Wilson to have the treaty in English as well!
  • The Hollywood Film Industry attracted several foreign artists in hopes to make their huge debut that overtime it flooded the market
  • The future tense of English being a global language shall expand and thrive even more. It highly depends on the Political, Economical, Demographic, and Cultural Trends in today's society.  Faster economic globalization = growing use of English
